Custom Packaging from Idea to Delivery: The 10-Step Production Process
Most packaging delays are not caused by machines — they are caused by buyers not knowing what stage their order is in. Here is the exact 10-step process every LUXPCK order goes through, so you always know what happens next.
Steps 1–3: Engineering the box
- 1. Wood cutting & sizing — panels precision-cut to the approved dimensions.
- 2. CNC shaping — the box structure is formed with accurate joints and corners.
- 3. Fine sanding — surfaces prepared so coatings bond properly.
Before any of this, the design is locked with 3D digital proofing — you approve a photorealistic model, not a hand sketch. Physical sampling then takes about 15 days, with 2 rounds of revisions included.
Steps 4–7: Building the finish
- 4. Primer spraying — the base layer that decides adhesion.
- 5. Top coat color matching — color matched to your Pantone reference.
- 6. Drying & curing — constant-temperature curing so the finish hardens evenly.
- 7. Polishing — mirror-gloss or matte, depending on your spec.
Steps 8–10: Assembly and control
- 8. Hardware installation — hinges, locks and latches fitted and tested.
- 9. Interior fitting — velvet or suede lining, cushions and inserts.
- 10. QC & packing — every process is inspected before the next one starts, and third-party inspection (e.g. SGS) is accepted before shipment.
